Jamilatou Saidy addressing consumers during the recently concluded 'Bantaba' in Bati Ndarr, CRR

The Gambia Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) has begun a ten-day public outreach campaign, raising utility services awareness among Gambians in their communities through its decade-long “Bantaba” flagship programme.

The biennial nationwide initiative reflects the Authority’s unwavering dedication to understanding and addressing challenges confronting communities regarding regulated utility services.

This year’s theme: “๐‘บ๐’„๐’‚๐’Ž๐’” ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐’Š๐’•๐’” ๐‘ฌ๐’‡๐’‡๐’†๐’„๐’•๐’” ๐’๐’ ๐‘ช๐’๐’๐’”๐’–๐’Ž๐’†๐’“๐’”,” underscores the importance the Authority attached to protecting and safeguarding the interest and privacy of all utility service users in The Gambia.

The campaign targets among others the following rural communities across the regions: Bullock, Jali, Kwinelleh, Sankuwia, Karantaba, Bati Njoll, Njobeh, Galleh Manda, Jarumeh Koto, Bati Ndarr, Dampha Kunda, Dingiri, Sara Kunda, Dippa Kunda, Suwareh Kunda, Njaba Kunda, Chilla, Sitanunku, Bakindiki, and Mbollet-Ba.

On the occasion of the “Bantaba” 10th anniversary, the PURA Board, Management, and Staff are appreciative of and thankful to all Gambians for their continued support and cooperation in delivering satisfactory utility services in the country. We remain resolute and ever-determined in protecting and promoting the interest of all utility service users in The Gambia.
