INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS BILL, 2008

Recently, PURA secured the services of a Consultant with technical assistance from the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), and in collaboration with the Department of State for Communication, Information and Information Technology (DOSCIIT) drafted a new Bill for the sector.  On September 29, 2008, a stakeholder validation workshop was held on this new Information and Communication Bill.  It is expected to be tabled before the National Assembly soon for passage into Law.
